Ingredients for Fish Sticks :

  • 600 g white fish (hake for instance)
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g flour
  • 1/2 litre milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • frying oil
  • 1/4 litre tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons bread crumbs

Technical stages for Fish Sticks :

  • the fish in broth. Drain and let cool before boning and peeling the skin off.
  • Prepare a bechamel sauce with the butter, flour and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Mix the flaked fish and two eggs with the sauce. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, constantly stirring.
  • Let cool.
  • Make little bowl of dough and roll them in breadcrumbs.
  • Cook in hot frying oil for 5 minutes. Serve warm with warm tomato sauce.
