Make a chocolate border by thinly spreading melted chocolate between two plastic wraps. Leave to harden and cut in pieces using a knife.

Remove the ring and stick these chocolate borders all around the cake.
...and decorate its surface by slightly caramelizing it with a torch and writing "Happy Birthday" using a decorating cone filled with melted chocolate.
