Flemish Cake

Ingredients for Flemish Cake :

  • 500 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 150 g oil
  • 1 package baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 glass beer
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 orange zest
  • Cinnamon powder

Technical stages for Flemish Cake :

  • Whisk the eggs with the sugar until pale and thick. Add the salt, oil, beer, orange zest and cinnamon. Mix well.
  • Add gradually the baking powder and flower. Mix again until the dough is homogeneous.
  • Butter and flour a baking pan. Pour the dough and bake for 45 minutes at medium heat.
  • Unmold and let cool on a rack.
  • The cake can be cut sideways and stuffed with marmelade.
