Ingredients for Nut Cake :

  • Cookie dough:
  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g soft butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • Main mixture:
  • 250 g crème fraiche
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanillated sugar
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 3 dashes of rum

Technical stages for Nut Cake :

  • Prepare a cookie dough.
  • Let it rest at least for 1 hour in the fridge.
  • and into a pie pan.
  • Grind thinly the walnuts. Mix the walnut powder with the crème fraîche, sugar and vanillated sugar. Pour on the uncooked pie shell.
  • Bake at medium heat (180°C or 356°F) for 35 minutes.
  • When finished, let it cool.
  • Mix the icing sugar with the rum and the cake with it. Top with a few walnuts.
