Ingredients for Fisher's Pot :

  • 12 cleaned mussels
  • 500 g monkfish
  • 2 cleaned calamari
  • 4 scallops
  • 3 prepared red mullets
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 2 minced carrots
  • 6 crushed celery branches
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 400 g peeled tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander

  • 15 cl dry white wine
  • a few drops of tabasco

Technical stages for Fisher's Pot :

  • Put the mussels in salted boiling water for 7 minutes. Remove those that did not open up.
  • Cut the fish in 2cm pieces and the calamari into strips. Cut the tentacles in small pieces.
  • Heat up the oil in a large pot, add the onion, carrots, celery and garlic, and cook for 4 minutes.
  • Add the remaining ingredients except the fish and bring to a boiling point. Add the fish, but not the mussels, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the bouquet garni.
  • Add the mussels, and pour on a warm serving dish. Decorate with coriander.
