Ingredients for Greek style Leeks :

  • 12 small leeks
  • 1 tin tomato meat sauce
  • 15 cl white wine
  • salt
  • pepper
  • parsley
  • thyme
  • bay leaf
  • olive oil
  • capers
  • juice of 1 lemon

Technical stages for Greek style Leeks :

  • Clean the white part of the leeks and tie together into a bunch. Boil them. Refresh and drain thoroughly.
  • Empty the tomato sauce in a pot. Add the red wine salt, pepper, laurel, thyme, capers and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Reduce the sauce for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, remove the string that holds the leeks and put them in a baking dish. Take the thyme and bay leaf out of the sauce and coat the leeks with it.
  • Before serving, add lemon juice.
  • Note:
  • You can eat this cold or warm, and it is particularly recommanded for low glucid diets ratehr than for hypocaloric diets.
