Ingredients for Polenta :

  • 250 g cornflour
  • 60 g butter or margarine
  • 60 g grated parmesan cheese
  • salt

Technical stages for Polenta :

  • Bring 1 litre of water with 1 spoonful of salt to a boil.
  • Sprinkle the corn flour. Mix well and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • When the mix is getting thick, add the butter and parmesan cheese. Mix well and pour on a baking plate or a wet dish.
  • Spread evenly and let cool.
  • Polenta is used as a side dish for meat or fish.
  • Cut it in pieces and brown it quickly on a pan with oil or butter.
  • You can alos simply warm it up and eat it plain.
