Fruit Salad

Ingredients for Fruit Salad :

  • 1 large watermelon
  • 1 pineapple
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 banana
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 galia melon
  • 1 box strawberrys
  • 2 kiwi fruits
  • 1 mango
  • a few cherrys
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 100 g caster sugar or cane sugar syrup
  • 5 cl rum
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • juice of 2 oranges
  • some mint leaves

Technical stages for Fruit Salad :

  • Cut off the top of the watermelon.
  • Remove the pulp of the watermelon and make sure to leave enough thickness on sides so that they can support the weight of the fruit salad. Reserve.
  • Dice the pulp of the watermelon.
  • Peel the pineapple and cut in 4, remove the center and cut each quarter in pieces.
  • Peel the orange, removing each segment from its casing.
  • Peel the peaches and cut into balls using a melon baller.
  • Tail and wash the stawberries. Cut the big ones in two.
  • Peel and cut in pieces the mango and slice the kiwi fruits.
  • In a large salad bowl, gather all the fruits.
  • Add at last the banana and sprinkle with the juice of a lemon so that it does not turn brown.
  • Add the caster sugar or cane sugar syrup, vanilla sugar, rum, orange juice and a few fresh sliced mint leaves.
  • Gently mix the fruit salad. Reserve in the fridge.
  • When serving, pour all the cold fruit salad into the watermelon.
  • Decorate with a few sprigs of fresh mint and serve immediately.
