Tartar Steak

Ingredients for Tartar Steak :

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • tabasco
  • oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 ground steak
  • 1 egg yolk
  • chopped capers
  • chopped onions
  • chopped parsley
  • paprika

Technical stages for Tartar Steak :

  • Put the egg yolk in a shallow plate. Add the mustard. Pour the oil gradually. Mix the yolk, mustard and oil like for a mayonnaise. You should obtain two large spoonfuls.
  • Add the spices and capers. Pour the ketchup, Worcestershier sauce, and a few drop of tabasco.
  • Mix until homogeneous.
  • Add the ground beef and mix with the sauce, using a fork.
  • Knead with a spoon and a fork, so that the whole mix binds together.
  • Put a salad leaf on a plate. Reshape the steak and arrange on the plate.
  • Decorate with onion slices (optional).
